November 2020

We always enjoy our Sunday night chats with Jacob from Georgia.  It's always funny when people's faces line up in a humorous way!

James and his friends (Cooper Pitts and Colton Mathewson) crack me up.

It was election day! We had patriotic jello in honor of the day.

Fall was gorgeous in our yard this year!

Henry and Lydia have also been scheming to buy a dog.  I don’t really want a dog and told them that they have to start with something smaller to prove themselves responsible.  They decided on a hamster.  So for school in October we took a field trip to the pet store to see how much everything would cost.  Henry compared prices on cages and added up all the expenses.  They pooled their money and had a jar sitting out with a “hamster donations” sign on it… hoping that others will donate towards their cause. Using some of Lydia's birthday money they finally had enough and got a hamster over Veteren's Day weekend!  They named her Nugget.

One afternoon Lydia came up to me and told me she had a loose tooth.  I didn’t believe her because she has told me the same thing before but the tooth is never wiggly at all.  However, when I looked at her tooth that day it was already bleeding from the gum and was quite wiggly!  I gave it a few tugs and it was out!  She was super brave and excited.

I love random pictures of William that I find.

Lydia and her friend, Kora Ritchie, wore matching dresses to church!

I got to take William out on his first date!  We went to Texas Roadhouse.

We were finally allowed to hold Primary Activities again!  The leaders of the older boys group wasn't able to do them so Rich and I took over.  These boys graduating primary deserved a few last primary activities before they moved on to Young Men.   Rich taught them fire safety and how to build a fire.  Then we roasted marshmallows.  It was a big hit.

President Nelson sent out a special message about gratitude.  It was perfect and I loved that all my kids could watch it together because of virtual school.

One night I found William playing with Nugget and the toy pirate ship!  It was a crack up!

After all of our guests left we got to decorating for Christmas!  Hooray!

Family Time!

We were so lucky to see lots of family during November.  Rachelle's family came to stay with us before their Thanksgiving in St. George and then again before they headed home.

Pessettos in Las Vegas

We had fun playing at the park.

We loved meeting Marie!

We all drove down to the Hoover Dam on Sunday.

We explored another park together!

And then we headed to Valley of Fire.

James was the baby whisperer with Marie.

Lydia loved painting her nails with Rachelle.

Before the Pessettos headed on the road they helped to build a fort in the living room!

Cranes in Orange

After the Pessettos left for St. George, we headed out to the Burnett's new house in Orange.  Macey let Rich read some books to her.

We had a lot of fun spending time outside.  The kids enjoyed jumping in the hot tub.

Austin pulled out his bow and arrows and we had some target practice.

We walked the trails around their neighborhood and found a fun tree swing.

We had a delicious Thanksgiving feast!

While we ate pie we watched Elf together.

Macey and Lydia had a fun time having another girl around.

And Alex liked figuring out Austin's inversion table.

Greatest Uncle Craig was nice enough to let us walk around Grandpa Allred's house one last time.

When we got home all the kids played Pie Face.  It was so funny to watch!

Home again, home again (with the Pessettos)

After leaving the Burnett's, we enjoyed a few more days at home with the Pessettos.

After the kids were in bed we did a Trader Joe's chocolate taste testing!

We had such a fun time seeing so much family!
