Since our school year theme revolves around mountains ("Give Me This Mountain") this year it only seemed appropriate to take our feast up to Mount Charleston! We were a little worried that we'd get rained out since it started to rain as we headed up but the weather cleared up just in time! (I think it rained just for Lydia... she had been wishing for rain just the day before.)
When we got up to our picnic area I tasked the kids with picking flowers and creating a centerpiece for our table.
We decided that it would be easiest to get some fried chicken to take with us for dinner which was a hit with everyone.

The kids (except William just wanted to sit in the car) had a great time playing on the mountain and climbing trees.
(It was nice to do our feast a day early and then on Sunday we were able to do Father's Blessings and not feel as rushed!)
