Crane Backyard Olympics
The week the Olympics began we held our own little celebration. For dinner we started with Brazilian lemonade (don't know if this is authentic or not but it was delicious!) and some black beans with rice and a fried egg on top.
When dinner was over and we were all fueled up we moved on to our events. This year I had the boys plan all of the sports and make signs.

Fisher Family Reunion--Home again, home again, jiggity jig
Sunday was a nice relaxing day after our busy travel schedule. After church the cousins all got a chance to play together.
And one last chance to beat up Uncle Jacob.
Eveyone made sure to write in Grandma's special journal and Lydia finally decided it was okay to cuddle with Grandma.
Grandpa talked to everyone about our family motto: Pray, Study, Do. He brought charms for them to each make a necklace, ornament or keychain.
After a delicious early dinner we headed to the airport. Our children are great travelers and everyone (except William) fell asleep on our flight.
While we were gone our friends (Heather, Royce and Otis) stayed at our house... it was fun to find this surprise they left for us!
I'm so glad that we were able to visit with our family and enjoy all the church history sites. It was so great for the cousins to get to know each other better! (Alex told me on the drive from the airport to our house, "I miss Ethan already.") Visiting these historical and sacred sites makes the stories in church history seem so much more real to me! I hope it did the same for my boys (since Lydia won't remember) and they remember these experiences the rest of their lives.

Fisher Family Reunion--Niagara Falls (day 7)
Saturday we drove back to Amy's house in Michigan. We opted to drive through Canada and see Niagara Falls on our way. The view was stunning.
There were several interesting things to see on the way to and from the car as well.
This tree was especially cool.
We then drove through the gorgeous Canadian countryside until we reached the USA again.
That evening we ate Moo Cluck Moo and let the kids play together. Elise called me outside to see this unique rainbow... I wish I could have captured it better!
