Valentine's Day Tea Party

 Lydia decided she wanted to host a Valentine's Tea Party for her friends.  She helped with all the details.

Piper Belt, Abby Lund, Kendall and Whitney Darrington, and Kenzie Pitts all joined us for some fun.

We did a craft, played "Pin the kiss on the Frog," and "Don't Eat Cupid".  

There is nothing better than a bunch of little girls all fancy together!

February 2020

February is a short month but it was a busy one.  Alex and Henry had a Fun Run at school.

I made a class fun run flag for Henry's class.

Lydia always has fun with my camera at the park.

It was Valentine's Day!!  We had fettuccine alfredo and then chocolate fondue for dessert.  Rich brought home flowers for me and Lydia.

I always love finding Lydia asleep.  She is just too sweet.

We found the HUGEST strawberry!

One of Rich's seminary students brought in a chick to show the class.  He couldn't bring it to school so we watched it for the day until he came to pick it up after school.  It was pretty cute and Lydia loved it.

At the last minute one Saturday Rich and I were given tickets to a UNLV basketball game.  It was so much fun!

For Christmas Rachelle and Scott gave us the experience of trying to survive the Zombie Apocalypse.  It was a fun scavenger hunt downtown!  It was great to get out and do something different.

Lydia and I were shopping at Target one day.  I was focused on where I was headed but I heard Lydia say, "If that one had ear buds it would look exactly like William."  I turned around to find this mannequin.  She was pretty spot on.  Too funny!

We got a new game--Sleeping Queens--and Lydia is obsessed!  It is really fun so someone is usually up to play with her.  She would play all day and all night if we let her!

Valentine's Day

I'll say it again-- I love Valentine's Day!  

Melissa Belt and I made swig sugar cookies and delivered them to all of 18 of our Laurels.

I got to help out at Henry's class Valentine's Day party.

I had a special snack for the kids after school.

Lydia loved helping me set the table special for dinner.  Everyone had a big heart with their name on it.  We passed it around the table and wrote something nice about that person.

We had turkey meatball soup and homemade rolls.  Lydia dressed up like a princess all day long.  She loves Valentine's Day as much as me!

For dessert we had chocolate fondue with lots of yummy dippers.

Rich brought flowers home for me and Lydia.  Lydia was so excited!

It is really fun to have a little girl who is excited about the holiday as much as I am!  We can't wait for next year!

Valentine's Day!

I always love Valentine's Day.  We had fresh strawberries and chocolate croissants (from Trader Joe's) for breakfast.  For dinner we had grilled chicken with alfredo pasta and sugar cookies for dessert. 

Lydia and I threw a little Valentine's Day bash this year.  It was so much fun!  Most of the kids her age are girls... so Grant was the lone boy at the party.  They started off by decorating their bags.

We read a few Valentine's Books which they all loved.

We also made pipe cleaner bracelets.

We had a little lunch.

And then decorated sugar cookies.

We had such a great time!  I think we'll have to do it again... I only have a few more years before she's in school!

In the evening I had all the boys pose with Lydia for a fun Valentine's Day picture.  Happy Valentine's Day!!

Valentine's Day

I love Valentine's Day!  This year I celebrated with food.  For breakfast we had strawberries and chocolate croissants.  They were delicious!

For dinner we had a heart-shaped pizza, salad, and italian sodas.  For dessert I made tiramisu.

During the weeks leading up to Valentine's Day we had fun making valentine's to send to grandparents.  Lydia loved playing with the stickers.  She even turned herself into a little valentine!
