James's birthday celebration

James is 12!

He loved all the gifts that he received!

For dinner James requested ribs, roasted potatoes and fruit salad.  For his birthday dessert he wanted homemade cheesecake.

James, our family would be dull without you in it!  Thanks for helping our family to be more awesome!

T W E L V E

James is such an awesome kid.  He has had so many new and exciting changes since his last birthday.  He finished elementary school and started middle school--which he loves.  He completed his Faith in God award and earned his Arrow of Light.  He also was a part of the new policy in which 11-year-old boys can be ordained to the priesthood.  So he was able to become a Deacon, pass the sacrament, and go to the temple before he turned 12!

We are so excited to see all that James is accomplishing and working towards.  He is a great, smart, hard working kid and we can't wait to see the changes that come this next year!

School Year Photos

Since we had free access to Floyd Lamb Park for the year I decided it would be a good location for a photo shoot.  I fell way behind on their school photos for the year--oops!

I really love all the peacocks that wander the grounds!

We got to see the baby bunnies too!  They were so sweet!

Enough with the wildlife though!  I wish I was better at the editing process but I feel like I got a few keepers.

February 2019

February is always a short but busy month.

I helped out at incentive reward BBQ.  Lydia had fun seeing Henry when his class came in.

Because James received the priesthood early we were able to take him to the temple before he turned 12!

Alex and his friends performed a skit in the school talent show.

William makes cookies nearly every Sunday.  He has the recipe memorized now!  Sometimes he lets Lydia help out--which she loves!

For our Come Follow Me lesson James taught how Christ (the living water) can change us--demonstrated by making slime.

Lydia found an old cell phone and I think it is so funny when she puts it in her back pocket--just like mom.

We talked about being a light for our Come Follow Me lesson.

The snow we got this year was amazing!    It never comes down this far on the mountains right behind our house.

We had a day off so we visited the new exhibit at Springs Preserve.  Lydia loved having everyone home!

I got to take Alex to lunch at BJs to cash in his reading reward from school!  It was so much fun to spend one-on-one time with him.

At the last minute Henry and Alex decided to dress up for Dr. Seuss day.  They wore the same costumes as James and William did exactly 6 year before!
