9 is divine

Lydia is such a sweet, hard working, creative little girl.  She loves being involved in activities and is currently on the Student Lighthouse Team (like leadership/student council).  I love that she still loves to cuddle--even though she told me this morning that "most kids stop cuddling around 10."  I told her she never has to stop cuddling.

Henry!  While last year was a year of lasts, this year was a year of firsts.  First year of middle school, first year in Young Mens, first year of camp, first year playing the viola. It has been really fun to watch you learn and grow this year.  You continue to be lots of fun and I love to hear you laugh.  I love you!  Happy birthday!

Alex you are wrapping up your middle school years!  You are such a great helper around the house and are always quick to jump in if you see a need.  Generally you have a good attitude about things going on--I love it!  It is so much fun to watch you learn and grow.  We love you!

 He had a pretty mellow birthday but he’s excited to get his license in another month.  He had a great birthday dinner (pork chops, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, fresh green beans and apple hand pies for dessert).  He ended up going out for frozen yogurt with some of the boys from his quorum. 

Birthday Interview with an 18 year old

We have an adult in the house!  Crazy!   William it is hard to believe that this is your last birthday at home.  Next year you will be at BYU-Idaho and then on a mission.  We will miss you so much!  You love hanging out with friends and have more than I can keep track of.  You are so smart and funny and we all love it when you hang out with us.  I especially love it when you smile.  Happy birthday!

8 is great!

Lydia has been anxiously awaiting this birthday for a very long time.  She is so excited to be 8 and old enough to be baptized.  You can always find her reading a book (or trying to sneak some extra screen time).  This year she played soccer and loved it.  She is wonderful at gathering and is always planning events for her friends.  Just in the past few months she planned a "Back to School" party and organized a book club.  We love our sweet "cute-iful" girl!
