Scenes from General Conference Weekend

We had a wonderful Conference weekend (a few weeks back).  Here is what it looked like at our house:

Stickers...

Articles of Faith puzzles...

Conference up on the wall...

Boys coloring...

Our countdown wall...

Our post-note wall...

We always love listening to conference.  It was a wonderful weekend filled with the spirit and amazing messages of hope.  I can't wait until I get the chance to re-read them!

Daily Sunshine

Today after school Alexander and William headed to the playroom and started playing a board game.  After a while James decided to join them as well.  This never happens in our house.  The boys are always wanting to play a video game or watch a show.  And if they aren't wanting/begging to do those things then William convinces everyone to play with legos.  This was a great change from the normal.  The best part was how well they all got along!

Little Picasso

Alex is my little artist.  I don't think the other boys loved to draw quite as much at Alexander.

Lately he has been working on coloring our little fort with sidewalk chalk.  Everytime I see him up there I think of the movie "Tangled" where she has painted her entire tower.

I'll be sad when the winter cold keeps us from going outdoors and enjoying our little Picasso's artwork.

Football and Fall Festival

A few weekends ago Rich was left with some college football tickets so he decided to take William with him.  The game was a few hours away but William seemed to have fun and enjoy spending some one-on-one time with Dad.

While they were gone all day I took the other 3 boys to our stake Fall Festival.  We got there just in time for a hayride.

Toward the end of the hayride there was a little pumpkin patch and each of the boys got to pick one.

There were fun games.

And lots of good food and treats.

It was the perfect way to kick off Fall.

Beach Weekend (the finale)

Sunday morning we threw a little baby shower for Amy (since she is pregnant with her second set of twins).  And Lori (of course) came up with the perfect shower theme: Noah's Ark (you know 2 by 2?).

And someone made some really adorable toppers for our breakfast muffins.  Oh wait.  That was me :)  I thought they turned out pretty cute.

We all brought some children's books as gifts.  It's really amazing that there were no duplicates!

We also celebrated all of the birthdays that were upcoming--and there were a lot!

Some of my favorite moments were just sitting around and talking... I wish we could have done this more!  It made me miss the days of Southridge when we could do this often.

I just don't want to forget the other seemingly random memories such as:

These beautiful girls eating strawberries.

And the bits left behind.

Or Spencer being my little buddy for the weekend.  I loved that.

Or every helping with everyone's children... like Heather reading to these two.

And how about trying to getting Henry and Lizzie aquainted so that one day they can grow up, meet at BYU, and date.

And children who loved the sand so much that they didn't mind getting it all through their clothes!

And Henry, despite being tired and teething, was cute as usual.

And I loved the beautiful beach.

But really it's these faces that I love and miss the most.
