Catch Up: Road Trip!

Saturday morning, after a quick stop in Edmond to say goodbye to Rich's family, we were off!  We had about 18 hours and over 1,000 miles ahead of us.  The boys did surprisingly well the entire trip!

It could have something to do with backpacks full of activities and my secret stash hidden up front.  We hardly pulled out movies or electronics the entire 3 days!  Or it may have something to do with finally having time with this guy:

Either way, it made this mom very happy.

Sunday afternoon we needed some running around time... and Rich needed a little nap... so we stopped at a playground for a while.  The boys had a blast.

And staying in a hotel is always a treat.  This little boys were ready to get out of the car--and then they turned into monkeys!

That night we settled in for a short show and headed off to bed.

And Monday morning we set off on the last leg of our trip!  Hooray!

Welcome to North Carolina!!

Our house wasn't quite ready (the painters and carpet guys were doing their best to finish up before the movers came on Tuesday) so we stayed the night in Rich's little apartment.  Tuesday morning the movers showed up and we started to get settled in our new home!  The boys have already made good friends with all the boys on our street--all day long they are hopping from one house to the next!  I love it!  We are really enjoying our time here so far--everyone is super friendly and welcoming which makes it just a little bit easier.  We have done a lot of fun things as well... which I'll save for the next post!
