Boys will be boys

I had a bunch of phone calls to make to utilities, insurance, etc before our move happened.  The boys were loud so I asked them to play outside.  When I was done with my phone calls I came out of find this.  At least they were happy, right?

feet feet feet

This is for Rachelle who wanted a picture of my new shoes.  I really like them and am excited to try running in them in the fall. Weirdly, my feet look more normal in these crazy things than barefooted.

It's moving day

We close on the house today (finally)! After weeks of being told "this is the week" and being disappointed over and over we are actually doing it!!!  We are so excited to be getting into our new home and settling in!  I'll be back to blogging soon...

p.s. Only 8 more days until the arrival of baby #4

Weekend Fun

Our move was put off... again.  Because I can't stand to be in our home anymore--surrounded by boxes and reminded that we are still here for another week--we've been trying to do stuff out and about as much as possible.

Friday morning we picked up Lisa and headed to the zoo.  We decided to see the girraffes and zebras since I can't remember the last time we saw them.  We lucked out and there was a giraffe that came right up to the fence.  The boys thought it was awesome.

(a picture of me with the boys... doesn't happen too often)

It was fun to go to the zoo again... and to bring Aunt Lisa along with us!

Rich and I planned on getting away together for our anniversary (which was last month)... but it kept getting pushed back because we were supposed to be moving.  After the bomb dropped Thursday morning that we wouldn't be moving on Friday afterall, we decided that we had to leave.  Besides, we only have a limited number of weekends before baby #4 arrives.

Rich made plans for us to stay in McAlester so that we could dine at Pete's Place in Krebs.  It was a nice drive, great food, and fun to get away by ourselves.

Wish us luck this week that we can finally get moved!

National Donut Day

June 3rd was National Donut Day so we made a trip over to Krispy Kreme for a free donut.  The boys were in heaven!

We'll have to remember this again for next year.

Zoo Day

I found a great deal on a zoo pass so I broke down and got one this year.  We went a few weeks ago and had a great time.  We got there first thing in the morning so it was still cool outside, hardly any people were there, and all the animals were out!  You can't ask for much more!

The other boys would not pose for me in front of the waterfall... because they've "taken that picture before".  Big party poopers.  At least Alex was a good sport.

Our big reason for going this time was to see the baby elephant.  He was so cute!

The greatest thing about having a zoo pass was knowing that we could come back another day... no pressure to see everything in one day.  So after seeing the elephants we headed to the playground to play for a little bit and then headed home.

We can't wait to go back again!

Birthday Celebrations

Even though our lives are a little chaotic right now we did get a chance to celebrate Alexander's 2nd birthday.  Birthdays are pretty low key at our house but the boys enjoyed playing with balloons all day.  Alex opened presents (although James thought he should be able to open some too... he was "helping").

His favorite gift was comic books... and the other boys were pretty excited too.

They all loved reading them together once the gifts were opened.

The birthday candles were all packed so Alex had to have a big candle.  I don't think he minded.

We did cookie monster cupcakes this year.  James and I had a fun time making them!

Happy birthday to my sweet boy!

The many faces of Alexander

Alexander is a funny little boy.  Rich took these pictures all in about a one minute time period.

touch-a-truck

While I went to Time Out For Women with Daniela (which was so good!), Rich and Bob took the kids to "Touch A Truck" in Edmond.  This is one of our annual traditions and I was sad to miss it this year!

It looks like they had a fun time!

I look forward to going with them next year!
