December 2019

Busy, busy December!

I love how Lydia set up the nativity with everyone crowded around to see baby Jesus.  So sweet.

We attended James's band concert.  He did great!

One day I hadn't heard Lydia for a while (she is usually my little shadow) so I went looking for her.  I found her in the coziest place in the house--cuddled up on the big pillows under the lit Christmas tree.

Months ago we pulled pearls out of oysters when we learned about the parable of the pearl of great price in our Come Follow Me lesson.  I finally found some little jars to put everyone's pearls in!

Lydia used shrinky-dinks to make her Christmas presents this year.  She made them each a tie tack.

One Sunday Alex and Lydia put together a snack box to light the world for all the delivery people who came to our house this month.

Lydia was a great helper as we made goodies to share with our friends.

Henry's class went on a field trip to the High Roller downtown.  Pretty awesome!

We attended our ward Christmas dinner.

One morning at the park Lydia befriended a little grasshopper.  It reminded me of when we lived in Oklahoma and James was always playing with grasshoppers in the backyard.

Our ward held its last Cub Scout Pack Meeting. Henry got to help with the flag ceremony.  Both boys received awards and Henry was awarded his Bobcat.

It's always fun to see pictures on my phone when Lydia gets ahold of it.

Our neighbors (from our Lynbrook house), Joy and Brian, invited us to their Christmas Cookie Decorating party.  We had a great time!

Tom and Krishna Jones invited us to their Christmas Caroling party.  It was FREEZING riding in the trailer but we all had fun (William opted not to go).

I found out that Santa would be at Floyd Lamb Park.  Only Alexander and Lydia wanted to come with me.  I'm pretty sure this guy was the real deal!  We enjoyed watching the peacocks and drinking hot chocolate as well.

We took the opportunity while we were out of school to visit the Springs Preserve again.  The kids always love when the exhibit involves mini golf!

Rachelle and Scott sent us a kit to make unicorn cake pops.  It was a fun activity to do while we were out of school--and delicious!

For New Year's we had our appetizer dinner.  William went to a church dance.  The rest of us ended up at the Ritchie's for snacks and games.  Lydia got tired so I took her home and rung in the New Year there.

Goodbye 2019... Hello 2020!

August 2019

Alex and Lydia loved going to Lego Club at the library and building together.  They were excited that their creation got to be displayed in the children's section!

We held our graduation party from Crane University.

The second week of preschool was at our house!  We had so much fun with bears!

Henry applied to be on the school Lighthouse Team (like student council) and wrote the best answer ever on his application. I think the teachers were crazy for not selecting him!

Alex earned his Bear in Cub Scouts and was finally awarded at Pack Meeting.

I loved finding this little army of Ewoks that took over.  Alex has been on an origami kick!

Rich and I took James and Lydia  to watch some barrel racing.  It was super fun!  We will have to go again!

James, Alex, and Henry earned a date with mom or dad for earning their PhD in Crane University.  They all decided to go to Uswirl with me.  Delicious!  I love spending time with my boys!
