Lucky 13

Henry,  you are a teenager!  We missed celebrating with you on your birthday but I'm glad you had a great day at camp.  

You are so fun to be around and we love to try to make you smile.  This past year you have had a fun time being creative with music and it is fun to watch as you develop those talents and skills.  Everyone loves you!  I am excited to see what this new year holds and what things you do next.

Henry!  While last year was a year of lasts, this year was a year of firsts.  First year of middle school, first year in Young Mens, first year of camp, first year playing the viola. It has been really fun to watch you learn and grow this year.  You continue to be lots of fun and I love to hear you laugh.  I love you!  Happy birthday!

Henry!  This is a year of lasts.  Your last year of elementary school, your last year of primary, your last year of school with Lydia.  You are such a great boy and so fun!  You've been a great brother to Lydia this year and so responsible to get both of you home after school.  We hope you have a very happy birthday!

Henry!  It has been so much fun having you home for this past year!  You were the perfect homeschool buddy for Lydia because you were always up for something fun and adventurous.  You are a hard worker and always want to do what's right.  Plus, you are just extra cool.  I can't believe that you are 10 years old now!

Homeschool Fun

We had so much homeschooling fun in May!  We took a few fieldtrips.  First to Gilcrease Orchard to pick fruit.

Next we took a field trip to tour an old mine.  It was really interesting and we had fun!

We also did a whole science week full of fun experiments!

I think Henry and Lydia really loved school this month!

January 2021

We did lots with chocolate this month because Henry's chef subscription box was all about chocolate.  He started out the month making us a chocolate cake.

At the beginning of the month Alex was ordained a Deacon and James was ordained a Teacher.  Because William is a Priest he got to assist in the ordinations.  Pretty awesome!  We will now have a Deacon, Teacher, and Priest until the year Henry turns 14.  I am so proud of the young men they are all becoming.

We took our annual trip to play at Gravady.  It's always a good time!

Lydia took time to smell our winter roses.

One night some monsters attacked Lydia's Barbie house!

Lydia had a great time in gymnastics!

Henry and Lydia were learning about government in school so they decided to hold an election.  They presented speeches to the whole family and made campaign posters all around the house!

We also watched Joe Biden's inauguration.

For Henry's chocolate box we did a chocolate taste testing.

We did a chocolate science experiment. 

We also made some of our own chocolates.

Henry is always cool... but he's especially awesome when he has a million pairs of glasses on.

Henry and Lydia can't resist playing in the rain... we were so lucky to get a little rain!

And then, the next morning, we woke up to snow!  The kids had a great time playing in it and it was all melted by 10 am.
