Henry,  you are a teenager!  We missed celebrating with you on your birthday but I'm glad you had a great day at camp.  

You are so fun to be around and we love to try to make you smile.  This past year you have had a fun time being creative with music and it is fun to watch as you develop those talents and skills.  Everyone loves you!  I am excited to see what this new year holds and what things you do next.

Alex, I am so amazed at how much you have grown in the past year.  You have tried so many new things--football, wrestling, and track.  You have worked hard and done so well at each of them.  I love that you haven't let the unknown stop you. And on top of your sports endeavors you have continued to get great grades and  served as Teacher's Quorum President.  Happy birthday, Alex!  I can't wait to see what the next year brings!

Happy birthday, James!  You are such a good, fun, responsible kid!  We are so glad that you are in our family!  You have stepped into being the oldest at home with ease.  You never let anything get you down for too long--not even a broken collar bone!

9 is divine

Lydia is such a sweet, hard working, creative little girl.  She loves being involved in activities and is currently on the Student Lighthouse Team (like leadership/student council).  I love that she still loves to cuddle--even though she told me this morning that "most kids stop cuddling around 10."  I told her she never has to stop cuddling.

Henry!  While last year was a year of lasts, this year was a year of firsts.  First year of middle school, first year in Young Mens, first year of camp, first year playing the viola.  He had a pretty mellow birthday but he’s excited to get his license in another month.  He had a great birthday dinner (pork chops, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, fresh green beans and apple hand pies for dessert).  He ended up going out for frozen yogurt with some of the boys from his quorum.
