February 2021

The missionaries here in Las Vegas started an instagram account where they share stories and testimonies from people in the area.  One of William's friends was asked to participate and William was part of the photo shoot that they did.  I love these pictures!

(Rick Andersen, Grayson Tressler, William, and Eli Randall)

Lydia was so excited to receive a Valentine's gift in the mail from her primary teacher (Kacee Henriksen).

William had a special valentine this year (Kate) and I drove with him to drop off flowers at her house.

I randomly found James asleep in the closet one morning.  So weird.

Sometimes, on Wednesday's when they don't have class, William will go work on school stuff with friends.  Clearly it's not all work though... I found this picture of him playing with their dog.

Henry continued to make us delicious food from his chef box.  The whoopie pies were so good!

Henry, Lydia and I watched the Friend-to-Friend broadcast one Saturday.

We took a field trip to the Discovery Children's Museum and had a great time!

After the field trip we ate lunch at Cafe Rio.

We moved rooms around and put Lydia in her own room and the 3 boys together in the other room.  One thing I wanted was a place that they could build their legos and some shelves to display them.  I couldn't find what I wanted and I ended up making them a Lego table. It turned out really well!

In mid-February we were given permission to have primary again!  (It really messed with our church schedule though and we were from 3:30-5:30!)  Lydia gave a talk.

Valentine's Day Tea Party

Lydia decided she wanted to host a Valentine's Tea Party for her friends.  She helped with all the details.

Piper Belt, Abby Lund, Kendall and Whitney Darrington, and Kenzie Pitts all joined us for some fun.

We did a craft, played "Pin the kiss on the Frog," and "Don't Eat Cupid".

There is nothing better than a bunch of little girls all fancy together!

December 2020

December is always a busy and exciting month.

Alex got some glasses!  It's a very weak prescription but it has bluelight blockers as well--should be great with virtual school!

Alex is so good at setting up a little treat box for all the delivery people.

Heather and Royce came down for a visit so Lydia got a chance to play with Otis.

Lydia and Henry helped me make Christmas goodies.

Random picture of William.

Rich helped me with the final Primary Activity for the oldest primary boys.  He taught them knife safety.

Lydia and Henry had fun doing crafts as we learned about Christmas around the world.

It rained after a record 240+ days without rain. Lydia was in heaven!

My parents were in town before they drove to Elise's for Christmas.  We ordered some Georgian and Armenian food in honor of Jacob.

We decorated gingerbread houses.

Lydia practiced riding her bike.

Our neighborhood put on a Christmas party at the park.

Lydia drew the sweetest picture in her Come Follow Me journal.

Lydia was William's backpack.

We had a lot of fun with Grandma and Grandpa in town.

We made sure we went outside to see the Christmas star!

We had our traditional Christmas Adam sleepover under the tree.

Lydia and Rich worked on seeding the pomegranates.

We had a delicious Christmas dinner!

Henry and Lydia made Christmas Crackers for us

And of course we left some treats for Santa and his reindeer.

Christmas Day was wonderful!  The kids got so many fun gifts, as usual.  Lydia's excitement as she found that she had a Barbie house was amazing!

Grandma and Grandpa came back for New Year's.  We took them over to Floyd Lamb Park.  It was really chilly!

In the evening we had a countdown and popped some poppers outside.

Henry made some delicious chocolate fondue for us to eat for dessert.

Phew!  What a month!  On to 2021!
