Preschool Prom

Lydia couldn't wait for the "preschool prom" put on by the library!  It was so much fun to let her dress up and do her hair "like Goldilocks".

At the last minute Henry decided to come with us.  He mostly sat and read his book but he did participate in a few activities and had a great time!

They both really loved the limbo but I don't think they really caught the right way to do it!

End of school year activities

The end of the school year is always so much fun and so busy!

The third graders put on a carnival every year.  Alex and his friend Christopher made a bean bag toss.  I was at the school that day helping decorate doors for Teacher Appreciation week.  Alex's teacher, Ms. Dorbeck was so nice to take Lydia and a few other little girls around to all the games.  Lydia came back with a bag full of prizes and treats!  She was in heaven!

William had his spring concert for band.  He did a great job!

The boys always love field day!  I always like to go watch them play a few games.

Henry and Soul

Henry's teacher sent me a few pictures from the day as well.

James and Colton working on a relay.

Colton, Carson, and James.

This bouncy ball relay looked really fun and was hilarious to watch!

Crab soccer is always a favorite as well.

Alex and Christopher.

James was celebrated at a special assembly for earning his Great American Award.  He worked really hard to earn it!  I love that the local judge comes and speaks about what it means to be a great American.

Each grade level has a day at the park near the school.  Lydia and I went to the park for each of the boys.

Bryce, Carson, James, Danny, and Colton

And, of course, there were lots of awards ceremonies to attend.

Henry also participated in a celebration of America with songs they've been learning.  It was super cute!

And then it was finally the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!! Hooray!  On to summer!

April Happenings

April started off with General Conference.  It was a great conference with so many new changes!

It was also Easter Sunday and we enjoyed an Easter feast.

Lydia even tried the deviled eggs.

Alex won our family bracket challenge for the basketball tournament so he got a special treat.  He chose USwirl.

James went on a school field trip to the Smith Center.

James also went to SeaCamp!  He had such a great time!

While he was gone the Young Men and Young Women held a camp fundraiser.  We had a luau and silent auction.  We have a generous ward and the we did very well.

Lydia and Alex thought it would be fun to take pictures with my phone while they played a game.

Lydia helped me to make sauerkraut for Rich.

I was able to accompany the youth in our ward to the temple again.  This is only a portion of those that went.  They had to split our group because there are just too many of us.

We tagged along with some friends in the ward (the Ritchie's) to the lake.  We had an enjoyable afternoon.

We stopped at A&W for dinner on the way home.

A few weeks after Easter I got a picture of everyone in their Easter ties (and dress).  (Easter was Conference week and then James was gone at SeaCamp the next week).

They did away with Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad this year.  We now have Pastries with Parents.  The boys were super bummed to only be offered muffins... but they were happy to eat with mom and dad.

Alex had a super fun time at Cub Scout Day camp!

The big boys went camping so Lydia thought she deserved to go on a campout too.  She had a lot of fun playing in the tent during the day.

William likes to stay home on take your child to work day.... but I put him to work.  Lydia loves it and thought it was fun to help William sort these puzzles.

I just love the spring when my roses are all blooming!
