September/October Preschool

Our preschool group is so much fun!  The past few months they've done a lot of great things.

They made a cloud in a jar.

Dug in the dirt for objects that started with D.

Played dominos and connect 4.

Lydia loved the drum she made!

We graphed goldfish.

They went on a fieldtrip to the aquarium at Bass Pro Shop.

They practiced writing their letters.

And did some baking!

We talked about what made a happy home and made a stained glass house to remind us to make home a happy place.

We did some letter "h" activities to get our wiggles out (hopping, hand on our heads and hips...)

We all brought hats and read "Caps for Sale" (I changed it to hats because we were learning letter h)

We read "If I built a House" and built our own houses.

Another field trip--this time to the pumpkin patch!  This is always Lydia's favorite trip!

They did some fun pumpkin activities! And even made a pumpkin volcano!!

October 2019

We started October off in the very best way--General Conference!  I LOVE that my kids love it so much!

One of my favorite things is to find Lydia asleep somewhere.

Alexander's school kickball team won first place and he was so happy!

The boys have taught Lydia how to climb trees and she loves climbing with them every morning before school!

Lydia's favorite story time at the library is the week's they do Duplo Club!

Alex worked on a hanging mobile book report. (He read the Night Gardener)

James went with his buddies to Hawktober Fest.

James decided to not dress up for Halloween this year so he was "FaceBook" (a la Jim Halpert from The Office) everytime a costume was required or encouraged.

The Primary Presentation was this month.  This is the last year we will have 3 of our kids in primary. Also, since I am the Primary President I ended up writing the program and speaking briefly at the very beginning.

Alex is earning money to go to Sea Camp this year so he held a lemonade stand.  He sold chocolate frogs, oatmeal carmelitas, popcorn, and pomegranates.  Everyone was so generous!

Lydia helped me make candy "barf" for Henry's class Fear Factor party.

Lydia's birthday!

Lydia was counting down the days til her birthday for months!  She was so happy when the day finally came!

For lunch we went to Cafe Rio... and because it was her birthday she chose to dine-in.  (Normally I choose to take the food to-go and eat at home)

We had cupcakes on her birthday with a special unicorn candle.

She loved every single one of her gifts.  Lydia is a very grateful girl.

She really loved making the necklaces that she got from Grandma and Grandpa Fisher.

The next few days we prepped for her first friend birthday party.  She was super excited!

We made unicorn popcorn. To give in goody bags.

We had unicorn pictures to color while we waited for friends to arrive.

We played lots of unicorn games: memory match, pin the horn on the unicorn, and unicorn horn ring toss.

Next it was time for cake and unicorn horns (bugles).

Lydia has such fun friends and we all had a great time!  Happy birthday, Lydia!
