April brought lots more staying at home and family time!
We got more rain... yay!
Rich started working from home and we didn't have anywhere to go so we weren't using a ton of gas... but it got down to $1.95/gallon!! It hasn't been that low in at least a decade.
I knew I probably wouldn't be able to get extra eggs to dye this Easter (since there are limits on them at most stores) so I bought some fake eggs to paint instead. William and James weren't interested in participating but the rest of us had a great time.
The Thunderbirds flew right over our house in thanks to the healthcare workers laboring on the front lines of the Coronavirus pandemic.
We went up to Mt. Charleston to get some fresh air. Alex built a teeny snowman.
Henry thought he was pretty strong to lift this log.
Because many places were still closed, Rich decided to teach himself how to cut his own hair. He did a pretty good job!
The kids took advantage of the nice weather and had a backyard campout!
And I took advantage of the nice weather and read out on the hammock.
Lydia's ballet class was cancelled (like everything else) so we signed her up for a virtual "dance the story of Frozen II" ballet class with her cousin, Evelyn, and best buddy, Piper. She
loved it!
Our neighbor arranged for the Kona Ice truck to drive around to every street in the neighborhood. It was a fun treat and something to look forward to! We bought some for the Davis girls as well.
To get out of the house we went to Floyd Lamb park for a walk one day. We found so many baby geese!
Henry's school teacher, Ms. Dorbeck, dropped by some sweet treats! She is the best!
James had fun hanging upside down in the backyard.
Lydia is so sweet in bed with all her babies and animals.
We started doing service at the Gilcrease Orchard. Our task was to thin the peaches.
Our neighbor, Kim, got some chicks for her pre-K class to play with so she had her daughter, Brooke, bring them over for Lydia.
Lydia planned a snacky picnic for her brothers.
We also discovered the Fossil Beds nearby!
April was definitely full of new adventures!
